My name is Lillian.J. I love all elements of art, mainly photography because that’s what I do.Growing up I found that I was very fascinated with my fathers photo albums and the pictures he would take of my brother and I. There was something about the photos he captured, that had me going back to the album so frequently to view the photographs. Every time I would look at the albums I would capture a different feeling from the previous feeling I had felt. I didn’t realized from looking at these albums, the path it led me to with this fascination till now. When I look back at the amount of disposals I use to buy whenever I had enough money, as well as the money I saved up for my first Sony digital camera I use to own. It was all leading up to a passion that remained invisible until the age of fifteen.
It wasn’t till High school when I had got my hands on the same camera my father used, to photograph my brother and I (Conventional Canon 35mm). I automatically grew a deep passion for photography, once I started working with the conventional canon. I learned how to develop my own film , and work in the dark room processing high quality photographs. Although I did not have that great of a photography teacher, I caught on pretty fast and received a lot of good feedback on my work as a amateur. I found working in the darkroom to be absolutely enjoyable.
From that point, I had continued to take other courses that involved photography in High School.
When I was able to save up enough money, I bought a Nikon d40. I began canvasing my perception and creativity via my camera.
